Excellines 424F four conductor, 100% foil shield portable digital transfer wire 5pin DIN to 5 pin DIN.
MIDI, designed about 1983-84 allows digital equipment to “talk” to
each other in a non-analog environment. The standard uses as 5-pin DIN
plug but the circuitry uses three of the terminals. Occasionally
manufacturers of various gear will use the other two terminals for time
code.
