S/P Dif (Sony/Philips Digital Interface Format)
Single conductor 22 AWG with braided shield 75 ohm cable terminated to high quality RCA connectors. Available in lengths from 1 to 30 feet.
Basically S/P Dif is a 75Ω version of an RCA to RCA cable, with a tightened tolerance for keeping the 75Ω impedance consistent foot to foot along the wire. The cable is used to hook up consumer grade digital products, Walkman’s and MP3 players.
