The Radial Komit is a powerful dynamic processor designed to provide high resoltion VCA compressor-limiter functionality while opening the door to creativity, depending on how it is used. As with any compressor, the Komit features a typical compression ratio control. This is enhanced with a 'smart' threeposition feed-forward, auto-tracking mode that sets the response time to slow, medium or fast to control the ballistics.

Stereo linking is possible by switching the link function on theWorkhorse rack. This is augmented with a unique sync function that employs a time constant instead of voltage to synchronize the compression so that multiple units may be locked together for greater accuracy. This is particularly advantageous when recording in 5.1 surround.

A separate 20:1 limiter provides a dynamic ceiling to ensure signals do not exceed the recording system's maximum input settings. This great sounding vintage style, diode bridge circuit delivers smooth confident performance at one end and when driven hard by the make-up gain control, it can sound downright nasty for generating creative effects. The Komit's Omniport® provides a key input for ducking, automatic level control, de-essing and when combined with an EQ, frequency dependent compression.
